Tim's terrific book The Logic of Life is just out in paperback. It was reading the hardback, as a follow-up to The Undercover Economist, that helped persuade my eldest son to apply to study economics at university, having earlier resisted following in his mother's footsteps. So I think that's a pretty strong recommendation. (Said son still hasn't read any of my books.)
But don't forget Leo in West Wing – 'didn't they invent economists to make astrologists look good?' – or something….!
and then along came the meteorologists… if anyone can get us economists a fair hearing, it's probably Tim.
