Diane Coyle is Bennett Professor of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge and founded the consultancy Enlightenment Economics. Her new book Cogs and Monsters is out in October. She is the author of the bestselling GDP: A Brief but Affectionate History. Her most recent book was Markets, State & People: Economics for Public Policy.
